Yes, the rumors are true, Steve "Sizzler" Wingate was the model for the new U.S. stamp. Wheelmen were presented with a plaque of the new stamp by the Westfield Postmaster prior to the exhibition match between the Westfield Wheelmen and the Canadian Professional Base Ball Club and will be on display as a permenant loan at the Westfield Athenaeum.
