The Wheelmen completed their 2008 season with what was perhaps the best all around vintage game played between two experienced clubs (Wheelmen and the Senators). You can bring in clubs from around the world and nothing would have topped this game. It would be hard to top this match of hurling, defense (and hidden ball trickery), and late game, clutch hitting performances. The weather was perfect, the grounds at the 'Shire were the best in New England and the post game banquet with our friends and families is what this is all about. Truely New England, truely American. Can't wait for 2009.
